My son loves winter, because he loves playing in the snow. I love winter because this is a season of giving and gathering. It is a season to remember the special someone, a season to be grateful, a season to celebrate with joy.

This year, do you have someone in mind you want to thank, someone you want to share something good with? Bring special homemade cookies with you. Share a good memory with the one you love.

Thanksgiving is around the corner and Christmas is right behind. I am making these cookie gift boxes, whether it is rich, sophisticated or healthy. They are all natural and homemade with all my heart.

Summer Refreshment

To enjoy a relaxed afternoon and treat yourself, you can eat them plain or top them with whipped cream and some fresh summer berries. You are welcome to decorate them into a birthday cake.

Trail Mix Crunch

144I have created a very healthy treat that you can crunch all the time and don’t have to feel guilty about it. It is called Trail Mix Crunch which contains NO OIL and NO CHOLESTEROL! I use just egg whites and a lot of nuts. Basically they are trail mix ingredients baked into cookies that you can crunch or when you want to have something to go with your coffee or tea. If your kids are starving in the car, you can just toss some to them and they will be happily crunching away for the rest of the trip!

Single flavor butter cookie boxes

The butter cookies are very popular items. But I was often asked if there can be one single flavor in a box instead of the mix of different kinds. So I decided now you can choose from Chocolate Almond, Coffee and Jelly Butter cookies to make up the entire box.

I’ve also “graduated” the Green Tea flavor. It is no longer available. Just to keep it simple. For me, mostly. :)

So from now on you can buy the cookies in your favorite flavor or the mix of the above three. For the details, see the butter cookies pages here and here.

Chinese New Year Gift Box

Chinese Lunar New Year is coming on Feb 7th, so my Almond Tuiles Gift Box is available for you to order. You can see them here and here.

The boxes are specially designed for Chinese New Year. There is a large Chinese character “春” (spring) cut out of colored paper on the box. It’s a custom to write the character “spring” on places when the new year comes. In Chinese, New Year is also called Spring Festival for the new season often coincides with the new year.

I hope this gift box in bright colors will bring all of you a happy New Year. We can all use some spring weather just about now.

Almond Tuiles

95103Many friends asked me more than once when I am going to sell Almond Tuiles. It is hard for me to say no, but it takes a lot to make them into products. The process is kind of tiring. This crunchy, nutty cookie is not difficult to make, but it takes a lot of time to bake and requires careful handling.

I finally decided to do this cookie, thinking that maybe I should share this really unforgettable cookie with others. Chinese New Year is coming, this cookie gift box should be a good choice as your gift to your friends.

Holiday is almost over

Holiday is nice except sometimes there are too many noises in the house. I can’t really concentrate and work things out while kids stay at home all day. Of course I was happy and relax to sleep until 10 AM and got to read a long novel which really satisfied me.

Luckily I manage to create two products, one is Chinese New Year Special and the other is Valentines Heart-Shape Brownies. Will have more details coming up later.

After the holiday, time to work (bake) again.

Taking A Break

After almost two months in the bakery business, I’m finally taking a break during this Christmas holiday.

I am so happy that I had much better feedback than I was expecting. I feel that even though I was exhausted baking cookies, I have to keep my spirit up and provide better and better baked goods to my customers.

Of course, it is a good time to try new recipes during the holiday. Hopefully we may have some new products coming up on JuJu Bakery.
